Do You Have Any Good Feng Shui Tips For Home Decorating.?

Thanks in advance.

I Am A Novice In Home Decorating. I Want To Redo My Office/study. Where Do I Start?

First look at a lot of photos for ideas, and get a sense of what you love. Then narrow it down to a color theme (such as sage green and creme) and a style (such as contemporary). Then imitate what you see in the pictures. Here’s a great site for photos:http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_design_offic…
(I think it looks nice to add a chair rail around the room, and paint the chair rail, trim, doors and bottom half of the walls white or cream, and paint the top half of the walls a color.)
Decorator’s tip: You should use up to 8 variations of your color (blue, green, purple, or whatever color you choose) in the room. Don’t try to match everything exactly and you will be pleasantly surprised with how well everything comes together.
Have fun!

How Can I Get Into An Interior Design Or Decorating Career?

Hi everyone!
I’m 22 years old and about to graduate from my Psychology degree. I made the wrong choice – I wish I’d followed a more creative path, but hey, that’s life.
Eventually, my dream is to develop property and have my own business. This will take a long time and a lot of saving up, so I know I can’t do this straight after Uni.
In the meantime, I’d love to start a career in interior design or painting and decorating (or something similar).
Does anyone know how I can get into this line of work? Do you know of any apprenticeships or training? Or any jobs where I can just get straight in there?
Of course, I’m looking around myself too and researching it, but I just wondered if anyone out there could give me any help.
Thanks in advance!

Any Ideas For A Subscription To A Good Home Decorating/renos Magazine?

i do not subcribe. but follow whatever falls under my hand. if i need a specific info then i buy the how to do it — small booklet. magazines carry too many advertising to my taste. the best way to follow the renovation trend is to go their annual show — they hold one in every major city — and of course to visit often the major hardware stores– they have instituted “how to do” seminars — try to get into those presentations. hope it helps.

What Uc School Has A Good Interior Design Program?

I’m starting to think about what college I want to go to (I’m a sophomore), and at first I was thinking of the Art Center in Pasadena. I’m wondering if there are any good UCs with a worthy interior design program. Maybe commercial arts?
