Hi there! I just bought a beautiful new home and all the walls are off-white and neutral . . . anyone have any decorating tips or sites I can refer to to spruce it up and give it a feel?? The model homes had amazing color schemes like navy blue with pewter and burgundy with gold . . . any ideas or sites I can refer to??

you parents want you to study architect, however,If you were to persuade your parents to let you study interior design, how would you convince them?

i really love interior design & visual arts & photography, but i just don’t want to settle in one thing.
i think i would really love the environvent of working for a magazine.
i would want to in the END be an art director or a creative director or the magazine, and go to the homes that are being featured in the magazine and over see the photoshoots etc.
should i major in interior design? photography? visual art for advertising?

I have simple taste, and I hate clutter. I know what looks good, I just have problems putting it all together.

i know that gifts are very reasonably priced. there is seasonal items and i think they also sell candles.

So I’ve already had one internship with a local office furniture store assisting the lead designer and I’ve learned alot from it but I want to do something different now, but still creative and relevant to interior design… I’m thinkin floral shop doing floral arrangements, but I was wondering if anyone had any other fun ideas? Thanks

I’m trying to find which interior design web forums (on Yahoo or elsewhere on the web) are popular and generally seen by professional designers and decorators and enthusiasts in the field as the primary forums for such discussions (on decoration, paint, fabrics, furniture, lighting, accessories etc.)
They could be in english or multilingual.
