How Should You Decorating Your Home Between Christmas/new Year And Spring?

Why is it the rest of the year is so easy to decorate your home seasonally – but every year after Christmas/New Year I’m left scratching my head wondering “how do I decoarte, now?” It’s too early for Spring, I don’t want to leave my Christmas stuff up….any ideas?

Do You Have To Pay To Be On One Of Those “home Decorating” Shows?

Such as the ones where they design your room for less than $1000, or they spruce up your house which is for sale, etc.

What Ideas Would You Recommend On Decorating Your Home?

Home Decorating On A Pretty Low Budget?

I have a bit of a ‘thing’ for older items. I have alot of brass vases, I love collecting candle holders, I adore the pictures by Waterhouse, brass beds, drapes not curtains that gently sweep the floor. Frames of our family, in contradiction, in black frames with the white inserts which give the impression of the picture either deeper or standing out of the frame, completely comfy lounges that arn’t big and bulky. Furnishings which need to be child friendly/proof…lol…
Childrens rooms. Girls, one who likes pink and princesses the other who leans slightly more in the direction of the gothic side. Boys, one who loves AFL, cricket and now golf. The other Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and small toys requiring imagination.
Finally, we live in a Housing Trust/Public Housing home but have pretty much free reign, we also have a limited budget.
Where would I begin? Any and all ideas: websites, stores, mags etc. Let me know please. I haven’t a clue! lol
Thankyou everyone. =)

How Would You Define Your Home Decorating Style?

What do you love or use in your home decorations? If you loved antique & vintage collections, it would probably be “Country” style. If you loved ornate furniture and traditional accessories, it would be “Classic”. If you loved simple lines & modern designs (of furniture), it would be “Contemporary”. If you loved bold colors and eccentric arrangements, it would be “Whimsical”. If you loved something found particulary in certain time and country/countries, it could “Victorian”, “French”, “Cottage”, etc….. Sometiems it can be a combinations of those above. I hope my opinions help…. let me know ^_^

Any Tips For Decorating A Home On A Tight Budget?

We have been remodeling our home and now it is time to decorate it. Everything I like is out of our budget. Anyone have any tips, websites, stores, etc. to get a big look for little money.
Thanks

What’s Your Opinion Of The “shabby Chic” Style Of Home Decorating?

If this is a look that you are drawn to by all means go for it.
Dont be intimidated by opinions of others. That is why I love my job as an interior decorator. I get to hear some very interesting thoughts and ideas or interpretations of ones thoughts and ideas on specific styles.I remain open minded as decorating is really an open book. Anything goes as long as the “BASICS” are followed. If you like it there are no rights or wrongs.
This look is very casual and carefree. It makes a statement that says stay a while.
