I’m approaching my final year in high school and I want to go to a post secondary interior design school. I’ve read the requirements of a few schools and they require for you to know how to draw. Problem is that I’m not the best artist but I love creating new looks. Is it possible to get into the programs without having the ability to actually draw them?

Interior design is really what I want to go for. and I think I will. But the what if’s are going into my head. So dietetics should be a back-up plan. but the problem is this: longer time spent studying science which I plan not to go into unless I seriously can’t get a job in interior design. so do you still think that’ll be a smart move to invest an extra 1.5 years in college?

I love watching the shows anyways ,but they try to make things look so simple and inexpensive.
I know I don’t need to complain ,but I actually came here to see if anyone can suggest palce with decorating tips for people who don’t have as much money to spend

My husband and I are buying a home that only the outside is done. On the inside the stud walls are up, but that is it. We will have to do everything from electrical to sheetrock. I have 3 small daughters (7, 4, and 2) and want their rooms to be beautiful. I need help designing and decorating the bathrooms and the kitchen.
Anyone with good website addresses,please help.

i know you need creativity and a sense of style but do you need art?
and what is the difference between interior design and interior decorating?
one more question would an online interior course be good or is it better to go to an art school?

A lot of women in general think they are entitled to do all the home decorating and also throw out a lot of their guy’s possessions. This is near the top of my hate list. What do you guys think about this? Doesn’t this outrage you? Are you just going to take that? If you pay for half of the rent or mortgage, don’t you think you have the right to decorate half of your residence the way that YOU like it?
